Модель динамики чередования направленности внимания на себя и вовне в сознании личности
The article deals with the problem of determining one’s own, non-situational function of a regular alternation of self-focused and outward-focused attention in the consciousness of personality. The methodological problem of the demarcation of the I and the not-I is discussed. The principle of their separation based on the choice of a particular person is proposed. The article presents an overview of the construal level theory, which describes the phenomenon of psychological distance and its role in various activities of the individual. On the basis of this review the provisions of the model of phenomenological space dynamics during the alternation of the attention focus are formulated. In this model, it is assumed that a prolonged self-focused or outward-focused attention leads to a decrease in psychological distance in relation to the opposite «direction». The hypothesis is put forward that maintenance of a certain rhythm of such alternation allows building an adaptive level of psychological distance in relation to oneself and the environment as well as maintaining relationships experienced by a person between their «I» and «not-I».
