Социо- и психолингвистические исследования. 2021. № 9. С. 134-139.
The article raises the problem of defining the notion "folk culture". The author offers two new approaches to the term: social-informational and conceptual-civilizational. The first approach involves the differentiation of cultures by the nature of the sign information extracted, interpreted and generated by their representatives. Within the framework of the second approach, folk culture is understood as a form of cultural organization of broad public masses, characteristic of a certain civilizational period.
