Object of research are the criteria and methods of efficiency assessment that are used during development of investment projects. An object of a research are legal base, scientific literature and results of practical activities. Special attention is paid to classification of investment projects by various criteria. The analysis of methods of assessment of investment projects in case of reliability and practical application is carried out. Also, there is allocated optimum for determination of efficiency. As a methodological basis the system analysis and synthesis of scientific research on the set subject and also the analysis of results of assessment of the realized projects are used. The main conclusions of work are the following. Need of evaluating efficiency of investment projects with use of system of indicators is proved. The fact that results of assessment have to be brought most closer to real future indicators is claimed. Application of the methods specified in work will allow to make the most optimal investment solution. A special contribution of the author is definition of optimum methods of assessment of investment projects both for the separate organization, and for the country. The novelty of a research consists in complex consideration of theoretical and practical aspects of determination of criteria and assessment methods of investment projects in case of efficiency.
