1959-1962 годы в истории Руанды: избавление от колонизаторов или избавление от тутси?
Гл. 8. С. 120–129.
The article analyzes the events that preceded the independence of Rwanda in 1962. The author explores the reasons that led to the "ethnization" of the social split between Tutsis and Hutus, and tries to find out what role the struggle between the Hutu and Tutsi elites and the policy of the Belgian colonial administration played in increasing Tutsi-Hutu hostility. An attempt is also made to explain why did the "Autorité administrante" shift its political support to Hutus parties in 1959–1962.
