Медиа как эндогенный фактор эффективности санкционных мер: комплексное сравнение Ирана и Венесуэлы
Modern researchers of the ineffectiveness of sanctions do not pay attention to internal factors (including the influence of the media) that affect the overall effectiveness of sanctions. The study attempts to close this gap. To analyze the influence of mass media and media on the effectiveness of sanctions, the Theory of Rational Choice is used as a theoretical framework, statistical analysis, as well as the Method of structured, focused comparison. Taken together, these methods make it possible to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the ineffectiveness of sanctions in the light of the influence of the media on political and international processes.
As a result of the study, it is planned to identify a general trend in the ineffectiveness of sanctions due to internal factors of the recipient country, which will create a solid theoretical foundation for answering the question: "Why are sanctions not effective, but continue to be used in modern international politics?"
Despite the apparent ineffectiveness, the sanctions continue to be actively used by democratic countries. A directly research problem is the fact that researchers of the ineffectiveness of sanctions believe that there are more productive ways of economic pressure, however, in many ways, the arguments of these scientists do not affect the endogenous factors of influence of sanctions or consider these factors as a single predictor, which makes the explanation one-sided and reduces the quality of the analysis of the ineffectiveness of sanctions.
