Общенациональный характер Первомартовского движения и его влияние на историю Кореи
The March First Movement of the Korean people against the Japanese colonial rule was not the first or the last. It was born as a protest against Japan's most brutal colonial policy in Korea. And it also relied on the traditions of the struggle of predecessors. Each part of the population, each class in its own way, often not as it seemed to other forces, each with great shortcomings, each imperfectly, often ineffective, each to the extent of their positive and limited opportunities, but each in the interests of their people, their proud country fought against Japanese domination. The assessment of these events in two parts of Korea has a slightly different emphasis, for example, in the DPRK it is called as the March First Uprising, i.e. as a time-limited speech of the masses, that was defeated and did not produce any further social or political movement. In the Republic of Korea it is called the March First Movement, i.e. a phenomenon of a public nature, which had a significant impact on the entire national liberation struggle of the Korean people against the Japanese colonial rule. In South Korea, it is believed that the direct consequence of this movement is the formation of the Provisional government of the Republic of Korea. The March First Movement was one of the brightest events in the long history of the Korean people, which they are proud of and therefore need to remain faithful to its ideals.
