The article considers the main foreign approaches to the organization of a co-management system in the Arctic territories, gives a description of the advantages and disadvantages of the existing system of co-management of the Arctic territories in foreign practice. The article also discusses the practice of public administration in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and identifies the prospects for the application of foreign social co-management practices in domestic governance. It has been established that at present there is an opportunity to develop unique methods for organizing interaction between the state and the population, taking into account the specifics of demography and the economy of the Arctic regions.
