In the situation of acute confrontation between the authorities and the opposition in the Bolivarian Republic, the administration of Nicolas Maduro needs effective tools for mobilizing supporters and mechanisms for consolidating the government camp. One of them is the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela, PSUV). For a long time this political movement promoted the economic and social decisions of the country's leadership, it was an organization of uniting forces of the left. At the same time, in recent years it faced a deep crisis. There is fragmentation in the party; its public support is falling. So PSUV has the task of adapting to new social and political realities and be ready for the open competition with opponents.
