In the world, data volume increases every second, it accumulates in the databases of organizations and, if used correctly, can provide competitive advantages not only to an individual or organization but also to an entire city and even a country. How is big data processed and analyzed? How can it be used to gain new knowledge, look at existing problems from a non-standard angle, and solve previously set tasks? These and other questions were answered by experts at the international conference “Big Data in Education” held at Moscow City University. One of the results of the conference was a collection of articles, where the authors describe the possibilities of using big data in education. Among the topics: the development of an individual learning path, the use of chatbots in education, the experience of predicting students' performance, and more. The collection will be interesting not only for big data specialists, but also for faculty, university students, and anyone interested in using new technologies in education.
