Потенциал трудовой мобильности как компонент человеческого капитала работника
The article analyzes some aspects of investment in human capital, which are interpreted differently in the scientific literature. They are associated with different definitions of human capital, its dependence on the natural and personal qualities of the employee, and ambiguous interpretation of investment goals such as income growth or labour productivity. The main attention is paid to the analysis of the impact of the employee’s labour mobility potential as the ability to change jobs on the quality of their human capital. The types (manifestations) of labour mobility potential and their role in the life of an employee are considered. The authors’ research and statistical calculations based on it have shown a positive relationship between the potential of inter-company mobility of an employee and his income. In the context of digitalization of the economy, the role of professional mobility potential is increasing, and the nature of territorial mobility is changing. Assessing the potential of labour mobility of Russian workers and its prospects, the authors conclude that its further increase will benefit society if the investment climate improves and the demand for innovations increases.
