Educational program “Software Engineering” of the Department of Computer Science of the HSE University includes a student research seminar “Creation of the Cyberphysical Systems” for the entry-level bachelors since 2016. During a project work groups of students create working prototypes of the cyberphysical systems. The paper describes experience of teaching “Bits and Atoms” concept and practice of usage of free software tools for design and implementation of prototypes.
