Адаптация шкалы профессиональной апатии Г. Шмидта
The results of adaptation of Russian-language version of G. Sсhmidt’s Job Apathy Scale are presented. On the sample of 275 employees of “Courier Service Express” organization it has been shown that adapted scale makes it possible to measure apathetic thoughts (lack of interest and emotional loyalty for work in organization) and apathetic actions (lack of tendency in realization of actions necessary for successful decision of work tasks). High reliability of Russian-language version of scale has been demonstrated: Cronbach’s alpha for Apathetic Thoughts subcale is 0.86 and 0.73 — for Apathetic Actions subscale. Validity of the adapted scale has been confirmed by direct correlation of job apathy with professional burnout and experience of void and by reverse one with work engagement, job satisfaction, experiences of pleasure and meaning in professional activity. It has been demonstrated that employees’ apathetic thoughts do not depend on socio-demographic characteristics while apathetic actions depend on age, family status and dependence of family financial state from an employee.
