The collection of articles contains the reports of the participants of the International scientific-methodological conference ‘Teaching Culture of Spoken English Language Communication: traditions, problems, perspectives' that was held in Moscow on 12th November 2018 at Moscow City Pedagogical University. The articles focus on the general and specific issues of English language teacher professional training and spoken English teaching, both at school and university levels, address such aspects of oral communication as: phonetic culture of Teacher's classroom speaking, improving melodical accuracy through the use of modern technologies, teaching interactive forms of verbal communication and the role of gamification in mastering speaking skills, the contents of spoken English curriculum for the system of optional and supplementary education, the Unified State Exam and language Olimpiads in English.
