Взаимосвязь топикального ритма и содержания в художественном прозаическом произведении.
The article focuses on the notion of rhythm in literary prose as one of the principles of text organization based on recurrence of the themes. This research refers to the prospective field in modern language studies – discourse analysis, which deals with interpretation of structural-semantic units that are key to compositional, contextual and structural text organization. The aim of this work is to describe the linguistic markers of realization of thematic rhythm on different language levels and to discover a relationship between thematic rhythm and content of the text. We took the material of research from modern English prose and used functional-semantic field approach and quantitative method along with the methods of semantic interpretation and contextual analysis to identify a theme of dicteme and analyzed the ways of realization of thematic rhythm on semantic, syntactic and compositional levels of the text. The results showed that thematic rhythm can be realized through the recurrence of themes via contrast, parallel constructions, nominative sentences, and full or partial repetition of dictemes. Moreover, the results showed that thematic rhythm spares language means and helps to influence the readers’ emotional state and to attract their attention to the conceptual information contained in literary prose. The practical significance of the research is in its wide range of usage in the courses of such linguistic disciplines as text interpretation and stylistic analysis of the text.
