The article provides a meta-analysis of a number of empirical studies of the characteristics of family life attitudes of young people planning to create a family, as well as people with different length of family life. The dynamics of family attitudes of the spouses is considered in connection with their life values and life-meaning orientations. It is shown that men and women who are at different stages of their family life cycle, have different hierarchy of life values and different levels of meaningfulness of life. In addition, the same family values at different stages of family life acquire different personal meanings and are associated with the realization of different life goals.
