The book addresses a wide range of issues related to the role of regional organizations in the resolution of armed conflicts in various regions of Africa. The main attention is paid to the role of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), which unites the countries located in the Horn of Africa, in facilitating peace processes aimed at resolving conflicts in this part of the world. The book is intended for specialists, practitioners, and students in the fields of conflict prevention and resolution, peacekeeping, and post-conflict reconstruction, and for a wide range of readers.
