Общее и различное в ментальности юриста и управленца: характерологический и эмпирический анализ
In the paper, we consider the psychological features and ways of thinking of lawyers and managers. Describing the mental difference of the representatives of these professions on the base of meaningful analysis, we provide the results of the empirical study. The study is focused on the cognitive-style peculiarities of students enrolled in «jurisprudence» and «management». We note the dynamism of managerial activities that require high speed of cognitive processes, creativity, and the ability to take into account many disparate factors. As the distinctive features of the lawyer's way of thinking we highlight the awareness and legal reflection, involvement and normativity. The empirical results support the idea of the cognitive-style difference between lawyers and managers on parameters of reflexivity - impulsivity» and "field independence —field dependence».
