2014.
The paper presents results of the research of different types of creative behavior and their predictors in Central and North-Caucasus federal districts of Russia (N=2046). Using confirmatory factor analysis different types of creative behavior were identified: visual art, literature, craft, performance and organizational creativity. The factor of generalized creativity is revealed, the greatest contribution being made by visual art and literature. Values, education and gender influence creative behavior in different domains. Impacts of gender and education on creativity have domain and regional specifics: craft is ‘female’ domain of creativity whereas organizational creativity is ‘male’ one; higher education promotes organizational and visual creativity in Central Russia and impedes performance creativity in North Caucasus. Values of Openness to change positively and values of Conservation negatively influence creative behavior in different domains in both the regions.
