This article is devoted to discussions in the modern German historiography about positions some German historians to the national-socialism in Nazi time. Connection between social history and “folk history” in the first half of the XX century is main subject of analysis in the article. Many historians, who had worked in this field, take an active part in creation of the social history in the West Germany after the Second World War.
