The research is devoted to «Izayoi nikki» («The Diary of the Sixteenth Night») written by Nun Abutsu (1221?-1283) in the Kamakura period. Describing her trip from Heian to Kamakura Abutsu focuses on composing poems on a famous places (meisyo) she passed. The diary was supposed to keep memory of Abutsu and convey the knowledge of poetry to descendants.
