Дональд Трамп и каноны консерватизма Расселла Керка

Political polarization is the phenomenon inseparably linked to Donald Trump's political activities since 2015. According to some researchers that polarization was the reason for Trump's victory in the elections. Others argue that polarization has grown because of Trump, and that the US population was much more united before his emergence on the political scene. In the present article the author links polarization under Trump to his actions and rhetoric, examining their alignment with conservative ideology. The president's conservatism will be assessed in this paper using Russell Kirk's canons of conservatism. The study will determine how conservative Trump is through Kirk's perspective and how polarization is compatible with the American president's various conservative policies.
