Comparative analysis of state support measures for the agro-industrial complex in Uzbekistan and Russia
The article examines current approaches to state support measures for the agro-industrial complex of Uzbekistan. As an agrarian-industrial country with a growing population, Uzbekistan faces requirement to increase food production both to ensure a decent standard of living for employees in the agro-industrial complex and related industries and to ensure the state's food security. The applied measures of state support for agriculture sector play an important role in ensuring the sustainable long-term development of the industry; however, they are characterized by certain contradictions, among them: the combination of elements of a classic command economy on the one hand, and the attempts to implement Western-oriented forms of labor organization on the other. Based on global and Russian experience, the authors of the article formulate recommendations for the development of agriculture in Uzbekistan, including increasing agricultural export.
