Based on the fact that foreign languages have become a communication tool for representatives of various ethnic cultures, language training in non-linguistic universities has become an integral part of modern professional education. Today, university graduates with serious professional training, creative and motivated individuals who can effectively work in a team and actively listen to colleagues, focus on self-education and continuous professional development and make responsible decisions are increasingly in demand. To achieve this result in the higher education system of Russia, it is necessary to improve the quality of teaching foreign languages and look for new methods of their study. This is especially important in those universities where a foreign language is not a core subject. As part of the updated modern requirements for improving the quality of professional training of university graduates, the task is to develop a multifunctional ability to creatively solve non-standard problems, develop technological literacy, develop leadership and people management skills, negotiate and find compromises, develop emotional intelligence and cognitive flexibility. Thanks to a variety of work methods, students will be able to master the necessary minimum of knowledge for effective communication. Is it possible to solve these problems for a person who does not have a communicative culture? Most likely, no, given that communication culture is part of human culture in general, and a sign of the communication culture of a specialist in professional activity.
