The Proceedings of the 20th European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship
These proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 20th European Conference on Innovation
and Entrepreneurship (ECIE 2025), hosted by University of the National Education Commission,
Krakow, Poland on 25-26 September 2025. The Conference Co-Chairs are Dr Iwona Lupa-Wójcik and
Prof. Dorota Murzyn, while the Programme Chairs are Dr Marta Czyżewska and Dr Wojciech
Maciejewski, all from the University of the National Education Commission, Poland.
ECIE is now a well-established event on the academic research calendar and now in its 20th year the
key aim remains the opportunity for participants to share ideas and meet the people who hold them.
The scope of papers will ensure an interesting two days. The subjects covered illustrate the wide range
of topics that fall into this important and ever-growing area of research.
The opening keynote presentation is given by Prof. Zoran Wittine, from the University of Zagreb,
Croatia, who will be speaking about “Bridging the Innovation Gap: Can Europe Strengthen Its Global
Competitiveness?” There will be a second keynote speech after lunch on day one from Anna Ledwoń-
Blacha, Co-founder & Creative Director of More Bananas who will be discussing “Strategic Thinking in
the age of Generative AI: Between Human Intuition and Algorithmic Overconfidence.” The second day
of the conference will open with an address from Prof. Maria Urnaniec, Krakow University of
Economics, Poland on the topic of “Entrepreneurship in the Age of AI: How Technology Shapes New
Market Opportunities.”
With an initial submission of 209 abstracts, after the double blind, peer review process there are 134
Academic research papers, 9 PhD research papers, 1 Non-Academic papers and 3 work-in-progress
papers published in these Conference Proceedings. These papers represent research from Bangladesh
