2022 IEEE Conference on Control Technology and Applications (CCTA)(Italy, Trieste, August 22-25, 2022)
Dear contributors, authors and participants of IEEE CCTA 2022 in Trieste,
As Program Chair I would like to thank you for your contributions for this important conference concerning control applications in CSS IEEE. Although we had a very uncertain situation with COVID19 we had more than 360 papers submitted. Very early, we decided to held the conference in a hybrid style, and this was probably a decision which caused this high number of submitted papers.
The Conference Editorial Board was again led by Stefano Di Cairano. I would like to thank him for his help in all questions regarding the review process and paperplaza. Together we selected roughly 260 papers for presentation, including 36 presentations of already published TCST paper, 6 invited sessions, 2 tutorial sessions, and 3 workshops. Contributions came from all over the world. We convinced 5 excellent researchers for plenary lectures. Our plenary speakers are Zoe Doulgeri from Greece, Dennice Gayme from the US, Colin Jones from EPFL, and Giovanni Cherubini, who won the Transition to Practice Award. A special lecture will be held by Nina Gaißert about the perspectives out of industry for the challenges in the future.
I would like to thank all who helped in the review process, and organizing the sessions. All Associate Editors, all members of the program committee, all reviewers, and specifically my colleague Cristina Tarin who helped me a lot in compiling the program and all other organizational issues concerning the conference.
We are very much looking forward to have now in Trieste a partly in presence event again, where we can discuss latest issues in research in control, and continue networking in the scientific community, something we missed very much in the last two years.
Oliver Sawodny
