The article precedes materials on the development of an audio guide and a board game about the native land by a children’s team during the summer. The author reflects on the challenges of finding a balance in the roles of a mentor and an academic supervisor, depending on the specifics of the project, the characteristics and needs of the students, using the described case of creating the audio guide and the game as an example. A distinction is drawn between the project result and the project work result, that is, the process of learning project activity skills.
