К восточным элементам в ономастике античного Боспора Киммерийского
This note presents the arguments in favor of the Anatolian origin of a number of names appearing in Bosporan inscriptions – Κυαιανις, Παιρίσαλος, Χοσας, and Κολλᾶς. The author shows that there is no reason or need to correct Κυαιανις (derived from the base kuwa-/kwa- and having reliable analogies in the autochthonous onomasticon of Asia Minor), clearly readable in a tombstone published in 2006, to Κυλιανις. Similar parallels in Hittite-Luvian onomastics and toponymy are found in the list of names published in 2017 – in Παιρίσαλος (with the component -σαλος known from many examples in Asia Minor), Χοσας (derived from the Hittite-Luvian base hu(u)s(š)-/hu(u)z-/hūs-/hūz-) and Κολλᾶς (from the root of the Hittite origin Kul(l)-). The latter anthroponym, however, converted to Σκολλᾶς by a different word-division, becomes, in that case, Greek.
