2024 Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP) and International Conference on Information Photonics and Optical Communications (IPOC)
IEEE, 2024.
Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP) is one of the largest conference in the Asia-Pacific region on optical communication, photonics and relevant technologies, which has been held annually tracing back to 2001.
State Key Lab of Information Photonics and Optical Communications (IPOC) was founded by Prof. Peida Ye in 1965. In 2011, the lab became the state key lab. In 2024, ACP and IPOC will be jointly held. IPOC has been held by five times, four of which were held jointly with ACP in 2013, 2015, 2020, and 2022, respectively.

Semiconductor microdisk lasers developed using III-V epitaxial materials are widely studied during the last decade due to the bright prospectives coming from high quality circular cavity. The threshold and spectral characteristics of microlasers have been studied in sufficient detail, but the issue of the output power of such lasers has not been addressed, just as ...

Using self-consistent Bogoliubov-de Gennes calculations for kagome flakes framed by armchair
and flat edges, we observe a configuration-dependent spatial inhomogeneity of an 𝑠-wave superconducting
condensate. Specifically, at half-filling, the local pair potential is significantly enhanced
by up to 77.8% at edge centers and up to 148.9% at corners, subsequently boosting their
local critical temperatures by up to 13.5% and ...

We investigate the effect of weak interband impurity scattering on the intertype (IT) domain between type-I and type-II superconductivity in diffusive two-band superconductors. Our results show that the significant broadening of the IT domain with increasing band diffusivity ratio, previously established in the absence of interband scattering, persists under weak interband scattering. However, depending on ...

The GaAs/InGaAs quantum wells with a ferromagnetic δ〈Mn〉 layer in GaAs barrier demonstrate a set of interesting spin-related phenomena originating from Mn-hole interaction. One of such phenomena is a spin-memory effect which consists of Mn spin polarization induced by interaction with vicinity spin-polarized holes generated under the exposure by short circularly polarized light pulses. Here long Mn ...

Although nanolasers typically have low Q factors and high lasing thresholds, they have been successfully implemented with various gain media. Intuitively, it seems that an increase in the gain coefficient would improve the characteristics of nanolasers. For a plasmonic nanolaser—in particular, a distributed feedback laser—we propose a self-consistent model that takes into account both spontaneous ...

Polarization mode dispersion is the effect of signal broadening in a fiber with birefringent disorder. The disorder, frozen into the fiber, is characterized by the so-called vector of birefringence (VB). In a linear medium a pulse broadens as the two principal states of polarization split. It is well-known that, under the action of short-correlated disorder, ...
