In European philosophy, the motifs of self-nonidentity and the variability it implies are found as early as Heraclitus. The concept of changeability and self-nonidentity can also be found in the East, for example, among the Mu’tazilites, representatives of the direction of Arab-Muslim philosophy that arose in the first centuries of the formation of Islam and was established in the eighth century. The idea of this doctrine is that everything in the universe is transient, i.e., it arises and disappears constantly, and nothing exists in eternity or destruction. But if everything is destroyed and created at every moment of time, how can we assert the identity of the same thing if it can instantly become another? In order to take this possibility into account in logic, it is necessary to abandon the fundamental law of identity, which serves as the basis for many European philosophical theories. The system of relevance logic R is contracted by discarding the axiom A→A and removing and changing some other axioms and rules of inference
