The proceedings of the participants of the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “VOSTOK-FOCUS: Topical Issues in the Study of History, International Relations and Cultures of Eastern Countries” held on October 4-5, 2024 at the Department of Oriental Studies of the Humanities Institute of Novosibirsk State University are presented in the collection. The conference received a wide public and international resonance. This is confirmed not only by the geography of participants from major orientalist centers of Russia, Israel, France and Uzbekistan, as well as universities of China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, but also by the scientific status of the speakers, specialists in the field of history, culture, international relations, political science of the Middle East, Central and East Asia. For the first time the conference program included a round table devoted to Buddhist issues.
