Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy in Response to the COVID-19 Crisis: The Case of Russia
The coronavirus pandemic, and the global socio-economic crisis caused by it, have and are likely to continue to have a serious impact upon various sectors and spheres of activity, organisations and enterprises, labour and knowledge markets. Most countries are trying to achieve quick economic recovery, among other things by finding and applying new solutions to respond to the unusual challenge resulting from the pandemic. This requires fast coordinated policy responses in a broad range of policy fields. As in most countries in the world, such processes are underway in Russia. However, in this country, the need to respond to the COVID-19 shock coincided with the ongoing transformation of the STI policy model which has been taking place over recent years.
