Estimation of average delay in systems with unsourced random access and multiple departure
P. 28–33.
In this paper, a model of the system with an unlimited number of users is considered. For data transmission in this model, unsourced random access is used. In case of successful transmission, multiple departure of users is carried out. For this system model, some hypotheses are formulated. Based on hypotheses, methods for constructing upper and lower estimations of the average delay are proposed.

Carbon nanotube fibers (CNTFs) fabricated using a novel “wet-pulling” technique were evaluated for electrochemical detection of dopamine (DA). To enhance the sensitivity, we employed an electrochemical oxidation pretreatment and twisting of CNTFs and investigated the performance by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronoamperometry (CA). The synergetic effect of twisting and pre-oxidation boosted the sensitivity of modified ...

We consider unsourced random access with MIMO receiver – a crucial communication scenario for future 5G/6G wireless networks. We perform a projection-based decoder analysis and derive energy efficiency achievability bounds when channel state information is unknown at transmitters and the receiver (no-CSI scenario). A comparison to the maximum-likelihood (ML) achievability bounds by Gao et al. ...

Most modern monitoring systems, such as environmental monitoring systems, use LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) technology. This technology allows to transfer small amounts of data over long distances. In addition, it allows to reduce the number of collisions in such systems due to a wide range of data rates and due to different frequency ...

We investigate the fundamental limits of the unsourced random access over the binary-input Gaussian channel. By fundamental limits, we mean the minimal energy per bit required to achieve the target per-user probability of error. The original method proposed by Y. Polyanskiy (2017) and based on Gallager’s trick does not work well for binary signaling. We ...

We developed a three-terminal ion-sensitive device (TTISD) as a proton (H+) and arsenic (As3+) sensor for the detection of glucose and As(III) dissolved in water. The TTISD was fabricated using the e-beam evaporation and glancing angle deposition (GLAD) technique. The TiO2 nanowires (NWs) were grown by GLAD on the conducting nafion channel of the TTISD ...

The number of devices transmitting any data is increasing rapidly every day, so modern wireless networks (especially sensor networks, where the number of sensors connected to one base station can be enormous) must adapt to new realities, and developers must change data transmission algorithms. In this article, we consider the problem of constructing the lower ...

This article offers a comparison of sociopolitical instability forecasting systems. It compares systematically their efficiency by correlating their predictions for particular years with actual levels of destabilization in the respective years. It is demonstrated that the predictive capacity of those systems dropped dramatically after 2011. This is shown to be connected with the fact that ...
