This article examines the cultural aspect in teaching French as a second foreign language in high school. The author shows how to improve the communicative competence of students of language universities. The example of the language courses in France (Chambéry) is shown, attesting to the success of your students with national cultural specific information on linguistic and sociocultural characteristics of speech and non-verbal behaviour.
