Modern monitoring research in education is analyzed in view of its purpose, and its organizational and methodical structure as an element in management of educational systems of different levels. Different approaches to monitoring structuring are compared in terms of their effectiveness as an institutional tool in the management system from the perspective of data-based management and evidence-based educational policy. Various approaches and monitoring tools are compared for their integration in the management of territorial educational systems
