О позиции Японии в отношении территориальных споров в Южно-Китайском море
The article is dedicated to the current situation in the South China Sea region, where serious tensions have been building up lately due to territorial disputes; the role of Japan in these processes as one of the major countries of the Asian Pacific Region. Overall, the article covers the attempts of China to gain control over one of the most important regions from a strategical point of view and the efforts taken by the United States and their closest ally Japan to prevent China from doing so, mobilizing at the same time other coastal states to stand up to China's pressure. The direction in which the events in the South China Sea region will evolve is also important for Russia, taking into account the strategical importance of the region, the global sea routs that pass here and the friendly relations between Russia and the states in the region.
