The article dedicated to an assessment of influence of India-Vietnam cooperation on Russia’s positions in Vietnam. The author considers details of interaction of Vietnam with Russia and India. Vietnam is a key partner of Russia in Southeast Asia. At the same time India has been expanding cooperation with Vietnam for the last years. The author makes a conclusion that under escalation of the South China Sea conflict Vietnam is trying to strengthen its relations with India and it might in future undermine Russian interests in Vietnam (including spheres of military and energy cooperation with Hanoi).
