Население России 2016: двадцать четвертый ежегодный демографический доклад
This is the 23rd issue of Annual Series of Analytical reports regularly published by the HSE Institute of Demography since 1993. The recent report conducts the detailed analysis of the current situation in Russia’s demography in the context of its long-term evolution and demographic tendencies as seen through the prism of main demographic processes, such as marriage, birth and death rates, family planning, international and internal (intra-Russian) migration, changes in population, and age structure of Russia’s population. The analysis is based on the official data of the Federal State Statistics service of Russian Federation, ministries and government agencies of Russian Federation, international organizations and national statistics services of other countries as well as local estimates (acquired by using these resources), the results of special sampling studies, and the materials of scholarly publications. The book is designed for the researchers that work in the field of demography and similar disciplines as well as decision-making employees, workers of government organizations of all levels, and instructors and students of secondary and postsecondary professional schools.
The Chapter is devoted to the analysis of the current situation in the field of fertility and family planning in Russia against the background of long-term evolution of the main demographic processes. Special attention is paid to the results of the 2015 micro-census.
The chapter traces the history of the three population microcensuses held in Russia in 1985, 1994 and 2015, highlighting their methodological, technological and operational aspects, as well the questionnaire’s design. Given that the microcensuses provide more data in terms of new topics than conventional decennial population and housing censuses, this article focuses on the main research findings based on microcensus data. A closer look is taken at the 2015 population microcensus, as it has peculiarities in terms of sample size and design, as well as at the content of the census questionnaires.
Ethnic structure of the Russia's population is considered taking into account the results of the 2015 population microcensus, distribution of ethnicities by regions of Russia, indicators for ethnically mixed families and inter-ethnic distancies.
The chapter is concerned with measures of family policy in Russia in 2016, as well as to the analysis of motivational potential of various measures, suggested in Microcensus of 2015
The chapter discusses long-term and short-term changes in the formation of the marrital structure of Russia's population, taking into account the results of the 2015 Microcensus and in comparison with the results of previous population censuses and microcensuses, as well as taking into account estimates of parameters characterizing the intensity of marriage and divorce made by the author on the basis of data of official registration of these events. Combining the data of censuses / microcensuses on the number of people who have never been married, with the data of the current statistics of marriage registration allowed the author to build a historical series of the first marriage tables (life-table or survival analysis approach), indicating the fundamental changes in the marriage model of Russians that have taken place over the past two to three decades.
