Дуглас Норт: бегство от неоклассического мейнстрима
The article reviews the development of D. North views on neoclassical mainstream and its applicability to the study of social changes. It shows his path from one of the founders of cliometrics as a manifestation of imperialism of neoclassical economics to the partial, and finally full refuse to consider the neoclassical mainstream useful for the analysis of human history. Rejection of the neoclassical paradigm is explained by the key North's concept of non-ergodicity of the social environment. It is argued that in the presented by North, Wallis and Weingast alternative paradigm the neoclassical economic mainstream faced the strongest challenge since its break-up with the Austrian school of economics.
