The article presents an analysis of the literature on the problem of achieving self-identity in persons with disabilities. The analysis of literary sources devoted to the problem of disability and self-identity of the self is carried out. A comparative analysis of the self-identity of the self and the internal picture of the disease is carried out. Suggestions are made about the role of self-identity as a resource for resilience in people with disabilities.
