In the article, the symbolic map of dangerous and scary urban places is reconstructed on the basis of the social representations concept. The coordinate system of this 'symbolic map of fears and risks' is represented by the following constructs: 'the City - the Non-City' and 'Me - the Other'. It is argued that, as perceived by urban residents, fearsome places are mainly connected with 'the Others' in the city.
The results of cross-cultural research of implicit theories of innovativeness among students and teachers, representatives of three ethnocultural groups: Russians, the people of the North Caucasus (Chechens and Ingushs) and Tuvinians (N=804) are presented. Intergroup differences in implicit theories of innovativeness are revealed: the ‘individual’ theories of innovativeness prevail among Russians and among the students, the ‘social’ theories of innovativeness are more expressed among respondents from the North Caucasus, Tuva and among the teachers. Using the structural equations modeling the universal model of values impact on implicit theories of innovativeness and attitudes towards innovations is constructed. Values of the Openness to changes and individual theories of innovativeness promote the positive relation to innovations. Results of research have shown that implicit theories of innovativeness differ in different cultures, and values make different impact on the attitudes towards innovations and innovative experience in different cultures.
Implementation of IT and program projects seems to be very complicated and taught process, associated with many uncertainties and risks. Sure, this does not mean the rejection of such projects, supposed the more responsibility for the decision making process of new information technologies implementation. To manage various problems which face project managers, it makes sense to use special risk management software. The functionality of modern risk management systems allows identifying risk occurrence, conducting scenario modeling, take the more appropriate managing decisions based on scenario analysis and mathematical calculations. All these functionality will support project manager to optimize his business activities in accordance to risk management practices and ensure better coordination and balance inside the project team. Currently there available a wide range of project management software, but it is reasonable to conduct some analysis in terms of applicability to specific IT projects. The author will review the most appropriate software solutions for the risk management in IT area, conduct competitive analysis and provide some recommendations on software selection.
The paper discusses the problem of personality development in its reflexive aspect and realization of its capacities within relationship with another person. Methodological bases of the study are psychology of personality, ontology and philosophy of life, existential philosophy; philosophy of language, phenomenology. Being a part of "general personology", a new area of psychological science, the study uses the methods of hermeneutics, reflection, and theoretical modelling in order to extract and generalize the existing knowledge about the capacities of the I. Based on the ideas of M. Heidegger, J.-P. Sartre, and P. Ricoeur, the author develops a hermeneutic model of the multidimensional capacities of the I that are revealed within relationship with the Other. The model describes the genesis of these capacities and of awareness, of the I as a source of reflective mediation, and the forms these capacities take in the relationships of personality. It summarizes the types and dynamics of the capacities of the I in the dimensions of “between I and the Other”, “I-in-the-Others”, “the-Other-in-me”. The reflexive model of the capacities of the I can be used within practices of dialogical self-experience and self-development using retrospective analysis of oneself and one's past expressions, as well as a practice of development of relationship with the Other. The vocal dialogue between the I and the Other is viewed within the life context of each of its participants, which reveals its personological nuances not represented in other human sciences.

The article discusses the productivity of using the naïve theories of communities in the study of the social aspects of risk. We identify existing and future research directions. We also discuss the question of what aspects of risk and risk perception can potentially depend upon naïve perceptions of the communities. A brief description of the main approaches to the study of lay theories communities is also given.
Students' internet usage attracts the attention of many researchers in different countries. Differences in internet penetration in diverse countries lead us to ask about the interaction of medium and culture in this process. In this paper we present an analysis based on a sample of 825 students from 18 Russian universities and discuss findings on particularities of students' ICT usage. On the background of the findings of the study, based on data collected in 2008-2009 year during a project "A сross-cultural study of the new learning culture formation in Germany and Russia", we discuss the problem of plagiarism in Russia, the availability of ICT features in Russian universities and an evaluation of the attractiveness of different categories of ICT usage and gender specifics in the use of ICT.
