К вопросу о разработке русской таксономии черт личности

According to the psycho-lexical hypothesis, all the noticeable human manifestations can be found in the language, which provide opportunities for the personality traits studies through an analysis of linguistic structures. Traditionally, the Dutch and German methodologies are used in psycholexical research. However, the existing Russian personality taxonomy was developed according to an algorithm that is significantly different from the dominant contemporary approaches. In this regard, a possibility of cross-cultural comparisons between the Russian taxonomy and its Western analogues seems to be difficult. The paper discusses the main differences between existing taxonomies and substantiates a need for the Russian psycho-lexical research based on contemporary methodology.
