Логика как нормативная наука: между биологией и социальной критикой (случай нейроразнообразия)
This text is concerned with the issue of norm of reasoning and the process of its
extension. Two sources of expansion of the norm are considered - social movements
(using the example of the movement for neurodiversity) and formal sciences
represented by logic. It has been shown that social movements take a risk of expanding
the norm of reasoning too much, because they focus on aspects of the social
functioning of neurodiverse people, and they concern the issues of reasoning only in
connection with cases of successful reasoning. At the same time, logic, which is
traditionally considered as a science that sets the norms of correct reasoning, on the
contrary, narrows the idea of correct reasoning, for which it is at the end of the XXth
century came under criticism of the feminist community. The author identifies the goal
of the paper in showing that modern logic and philosophy of logic also expand the
understanding of the norm of reasoning, but this process goes slower. This is
connected, firstly, with the revision of the concept of the normativity of logic, which
has faced difficulties, and secondly, with the fact that logicians began to offer models
of incorrect reasoning. To accomplish this goal, the author firstly, considers the main
ideas of neurodiversity and a dialogical approach to understanding the normativity of
logic, and secondly, he considers the process of expanding the norm of reasoning
within the framework of neurodiversity and logic.
