Impact of Intercultural Contacts in Educational Environment on Creativity of Majority’ Students
The goal of the research is studying the effect of intercultural experiences at the home country university on creativity of Russian students. We assumed that the level of creativity among the students from culturally heterogeneous groups as well as the students having the study course dedicated to intercultural issues will increase compared with students without such experiences. The sample of the quasiexperimental study included 72 social sciences students. The results of the study showed that cultural learning in the home country university has led to the higher levels of creativity, while cultural heterogeneity of the groups was associated with an increase in creativity only when cultural learning was also applied. The findings are discussed in relation to specific features of educational environment.
