The article analyzes the changes in the management style of decision-making in Moscow
schools during the period of dynamic transformations in the education system of the city.
Using the methodology of A. Row, the article compares the profiles of management decisionmaking
styles by school management teams of 2014 and 2017. A number of managers whouse a preferred conceptual style of decision-making during this period has increased 4.7 times.
Comparison of the characteristic actions of the participants of the management team, taking into
account the dominance and combination of various functions, suggests a relationship between
the style of management decision-making and the management style of each of the participants
of the management team. Based on the work of I. Adizes, the authors believe that the management
team of an educational organization is efficient and effective both in the short and long
term if it is built on complementary managerial functions and styles of managerial decisionmaking,
taking into account the stage of development of the organization. In management teams
of educational organizations that have made the maximum „jump” in the ranking, an analytical
decision-making style prevails among those surveyed according to the A. Roe methodology. Using
rating criteria as benchmarks for school success, such management teams effectively solve the
task of moving to higher positions.
