As early as before the Revolution the entrepreneurial spirit was especially strong among the part of the merchant and business communities who belonged to Old Believers. Many researchers pointed out that their religious ethics helped Old Believers achieve great success in doing business. The author of the article looks at the life of modern Old Believers in Russia, their community as well as the ways and forms of their relationship with the government.
