Спорные проблемы истории закрепощения и миграций в России конца XVI – первой половины XVII в.
The article is a critical analysis of K.Y. Yerusalimsky's hypothesis and a polemic with him on the problems of enserfment and migration in Russia in the late XVI–first half of the XVII century. It is shown that the complex structure of Russian society predetermined nonlinear forms of enserfment of peasants. The understanding of such phenomena as "zapovednye leta", "fixed-term" years, "starina" does not find correspondence in the documents studied. The sources showing the scale and direction of cross-border migrations on the western borders of Russia are investigated. Their data indicate that the problem of attaching peasants to the identity of their owner itself was not the subject of consideration during the resolution of border conflicts.
