Relying on modern Chinese fiction texts the article discusses how to transfer the nominations of the Chinese onimicon using the Russian language and shows frequent translation solutions. The difficulties in translating proper names are analyzed, and it is concluded that practical transcription is the predominant method, still there are well-established examples of tracing, verbatim translation, dictionary matching, and complex methods for translating proper names.
