Relevance. The training of medical specialists has traditionally been one of the conservative and inert spheres of the education system not only in Russia, but in the world as a whole, but the digital transformation of the social and economic sphere dictates the need for digital transformation of the entire higher education system. Currently, there are many different sets of indicators aimed at an objective assessment of the effectiveness of targeted programs and projects in the field of digital transformation in the field of higher education, but there is no universally recognized one. The purpose of the study is to determine, based on the analysis of the literature, an objective and simple way to assess digital maturity for an educational organization of higher education and, using the example of an industry regional medical university, to analyze some of the most important criteria for assessing digital transformation and determine the level of digital maturity of Kursk State Medical University in comparison with other industry universities. Materials and methods. The assessment of digital maturity was carried out in accordance with the methodology developed by the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University) for 5 tracks: “Digital Services”, “Information Systems”, “Data Management”, “Infrastructure”, “Personnel”. Results. According to the results of assessing the digital maturity of the Kursk State Medical University, it was found that the university by a total score of 86 out of 100 practically reached digital maturity, while the largest number of points scored on the track “Information Services” – 100 points, and the smallest – 70 points on the track “Infrastructure”, taking 6th place among 46 industry medical universities.
