The article focuses on provision of municipalities with sports infrastructure in the context of implementation of a national objective of the development of the Russian Federation «Maintenance of Population, Health and Well-being of People». The study provides data on expenditures of consolidated budget of the Russian Federation and the budgets of public non-budgetary funds for the development of physical culture and sports in federal regions. The paper furthermore shows results of the expert assessment of the supply of municipal formations with infrastructural facilities for encouraging the population to go in for physical culture and sports.
