The chapter touches upon several topics that are key to understanding the changes in the socio-economic situation of the country's population in recent years. These are, firstly, the dynamics of their household incomes as perceived by Russians themselves, secondly, the peculiarities of the savings and credit behavior of representatives of the mass strata of the population in the context of crises of various natures, thirdly, the dynamics of their use of paid social services, fourthly, the specifics of their behavioral practices to improve their financial situation in the current conditions, including in the labor sphere, and finally, fifthly, some changes in their employment, including the dynamics of their social security in this sphere.
